Claire is a sweet and shy girl!  She loves her humans and good with dogs of all sizes.  Claire has a rough start in life and will need some time to adjust in a new home.  She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home.   Claire started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  We are looking for a patient family that will continue more training and socialization as she grows up.

Claire’s Rescue Story

Claire was abandoned on the streets.  She was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group.  The rescue has a temporary shelter for the dogs.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets.  She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.

Claire had a thorough medical checkup.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Claire a loving home where she will never be left behind again.
