Boca is a happy and sweet girl!  Boca is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  She has a good temperament and lots of love to give.  Boca has been through a rough start in life.  However, it does not stop her from loving and trusting people.  Boca is a tripod, one of her hind legs has been amputated.  She can walk and run like any other four-legged dog.  It does not affect her health and prevent her from living a happy life!  Boca is doing well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.   Boca started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  Boca is a wonderful dog and will make a good family dog!

BOCA’s Rescue Story

Poor Boca was living as a stray dog on the streets.  Her leg was hurt and in lots of pain.  She was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes.  She really doesn’t have space for another dog.  However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets.  She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.
They scheduled to meet at the vet so she can have a thorough medical checkup.  Boca has completely recovered from her leg amputation.  She was most likely hurt when she was living on the street.  We cannot be sure how she got hurt.  Boca has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Boca a loving home where she will never be left behind again.
