Fawna is a sweet and gentle girl!  She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Fawna is even tested good with cats.  Fawna has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first.  Fawna has a good temperament and has lots of love to give!  She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.  Fawna started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Fawna rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  We are looking for a family that is committed to continue to socialize and train her to help her build confidence.

FAWNA’S RESCUE STORY:

Poor Fawna and her siblings were abandoned in a remote mountain.  They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR rescue group.  The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the dogs are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets.  She agreed to take Fawna and the other puppies home and give them a chance in life.

Fawna had a thorough medical checkup.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Fawna a loving home to grow up.
