Idabel is a sweet and shy girl!  She has a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first.  Idabel is a very gentle dog and does not have a mean bone in her.  She loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Idabel is even tested good with cats.  Idabel has a good temperament and has lots of love to give!  She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.  Idabel started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Idabel rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  We are looking for a committed family that will continue to socialize/train her to help her build confidence.

IDABEL’S RESCUE STORY:

Poor Idabel and her siblings, Idis and Ikea, were living as stray dogs in the mountain.  They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR rescue group.  The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and the dogs are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with their dogs.  The land where they kept the dog can no longer be used and they had to evacuate all dogs and return them back to the streets to live as stray dogs.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she could not bear to see them starving and suffering on the streets.  She agreed to take Idabel and her siblings home and give them a chance in life.
Idabel had a thorough medical checkup.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Idabel a loving home to grow up.
