Waggie is a shy and gentle girl.  She has been through a rough start in life and needs time to open up to new people.  Waggie loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Waggie is even tested good with cats.  Waggie is submissive to people and dogs and does not have a mean bone in her.  She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.  Waggie started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Waggie rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  Waggie and her brother, Waggle, are a bonded pair.  We are looking for a committed home to adopt them together and continue to train them.

WAGGIE’S RESCUE STORY:

Poor Waggie was living as a stray dog in the mountain.  She was rescued by a volunteer of a TNR rescue group.  The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are released to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets.  She agreed to take Waggie home and give her a chance in life.

Waggie had a thorough medical checkup.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Waggie & Waggle a forever home together!
