Honey is a sweet and gentle girl!  She has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people.  Once she settles down in a home, you will see her sweet and loving side.  Honey loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Honey is doing very well in her foster home and ready for her forever home.   Honey started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  We are looking for a committed home to continue to socialize/train her and be patient with her during the transition period.

HONEY’S RESCUE STORY:

Poor Honey and her 9 puppies were found abandoned in a remote mountain where there were no food and shelter.  A kind rescuer was in the area and heard them crying out of starvation.  He gave her some leftover food and she finished all in a few seconds.  She must had been starving for weeks.  The rescuer has a shelter with over 100 dogs and sleeps in his van with his dogs as he does not have enough money to build shelters for them.  He cannot keep bringing dogs back and so he left.  The next day, he was still very sad and brought Honey a bag of dog food.  Honey just kept looking at him.  He knew he could not just leave her and her puppies to die on the streets.  He brought them back and kept them in a cage.  The kind rescuer loves them with all his heart and makes sure they get plenty of food.  He reached out to an experienced rescue organization asking for help.  The founder of the organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes.  Her home is so full.  She did not have the heart to turn her back on them.  She quickly scheduled to pick them up and brought them back to her home filled with love.

On the same day, the founder rescued 16 dogs including Honey.  They were all brought back to her home.  They all adjusted well and slept through the night peacefully in their cozy crates.  The next day, they were all playing and really enjoy each other’s company.

Honey has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Honey a chance in life and all the love she deserves.
