Wandis is a sweet and gentle girl!  Poor Wandis has been through a rough start in life and is shy of new people.  She needs some time to settle in her home and you will start to see her loving side.  She is polite with people, loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for her forever home.  Wandis walks well on leash and enjoys her trips to the dog park.  She started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Wandis rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  We are looking for a committed home to continue to socialize and train her to help her build confidence.

Poor Wandis was abandoned in a park where there are no shelter and food.  She was surviving on garbage and hid behind bushes to keep herself safe.  A volunteer for TNR (Trap / Neuter / Release) groups spotted her and caught her.  TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the dogs are released to their original location to live as homeless dogs.  TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals.

Wandis is such a lovely girl and the volunteer was very sad to have to return her to the park.  He knew Wandis would not make it on the streets.  He reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with some of the dogs that are scheduled to be released back to the streets.  The founder of the rescue organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffered on the streets.  She agreed to take Wandis back to her home and give her a chance in life.

Wandis had a thorough medical checkup.  She had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Wandis a loving forever home where she will not be left alone again.
