Shina is lovely and sweet girl!  She loves everyone she meets, playful with dogs, and good with children.  She is even tested good with cats.  Shina is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.  Shina started some leash training and is one smart girl.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Shina rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  Shina is a wonderful girl and will make a lovely family dog.

Shina’s Rescue Story

Poor Shina was found abandoned on a busy street.  Shina had a litter of puppies.  When the rescuer got to the rescue location.  They were only able to find Shina’s 2 puppies with her.  Shina had a collar on her so she must have owners.  It is very common in Asia for irresponsible owners to dump their dogs on the streets.  They were all rushed to the vet for a complete health checkup.  None of them have microchips.  The rescuer posted their story on Facebook hoping to find them homes.  Unfortunately, no one was interested in adopting them.  The rescuer planned on getting them spayed and neutered and release them back to the streets.  The rescuer volunteers for TNR (Trap / Neuter / Release) groups.  It is an effort to control the overpopulation of stray animals.  Shina and her puppies were kept in cages while they were waiting for their operation.  Before a spayed female dog can be released back to the streets, the vet will cut her right ear as a marking to show that she has been spayed so other rescue groups will not catch her again.

The volunteers love them very much and know they will be very much loved by any family.  They reached out to an experienced rescue organization hoping they will help them find homes.  When the founder heard their story, she knew it was urgent to save them and give them a chance in life before they get thrown out.  The founder of the rescue organization quickly went to pick them up and rushed them to the vet for a complete health checkup.  Luckily, they are all healthy.  Shina and her puppies are all so sweet.  The founder promised to find them loving homes where they will be treated with love and proper care.

Shina has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.  Please give Shina a forever home where she will never be left behind again.

Notes:

We do not have any dogs for meet and greet now.  All the dogs posted are international rescues from Taiwan.  Taiwan has a huge stray population and these dogs are all waiting for a chance in life.  If you are interested in a particular dog, we can schedule a video call to see some doggies and discuss a good fit.  Please send an online application with home photos.  You can email your home photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org.  All flights to SFO are cancelled for the month of May.  Our earliest flight is pending for June.  Thank you for your patience.
