Metis is a sweet and playful boy!  He is friendly with strangers, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Metis is even tested good with cats.  Metis has been through a rough start in life.  However, he loves everyone he meets.  Metis has a good temperament and is just full of love!  He is doing very well in his foster home and ready for a forever home.  Metis started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining.  Metis rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands.  Metis will make a good family dog.

Metis’s Rescue Story

Poor Metis and his 3 siblings were found abandoned in a remote mountain where there were no food and shelter.  They are so smart and arrived in a kind lady’s property.  The lady has many dogs and often leave some dog food outdoor.  The kind lady quickly borrowed a humane trap from a rescue organization.  After several days, she was able to trap all 4 puppies.  She has too many dogs already and cannot give them a home.  The lady quickly reached out to the founder of the organization and begged her to take them in.  The organization has over 150 dogs waiting for homes.  They do not have room for them.    However, they knew it was urgent to save them.  They were rushed to the vet the next day for a complete health checkup.  Unfortunately, they do not have microchips.  They are clearly driven to the mountain and abandoned.

They adjusted the moment they arrived at the founder’s home.  They are enjoying the company of all the rescued dogs.  They are now living with over 150 dogs.  All the dogs share everything from food to toys to affection.  They started leash training and are socialized with big and small dogs.

Metis has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests.  Please give him a loving home where he will never be left behind again.

Notes:

We do not have any dogs for meet and greet now.  All the dogs posted are international rescues from Taiwan.  Taiwan has a huge stray population and these dogs are all waiting for a chance in life.  If you are interested in a particular dog, we can schedule a video call to see some doggies and discuss a good fit.  Please send an online application with home photos.  You can email your home photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org.  All flights to SFO are cancelled for the month of May.  Our earliest flight is pending for June.  Thank you for your patience.
