Mint is a gentle, sweet, and well-behaved boy!  He is friendly with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Mint has a wonderful temperament and has a lot of love to give.  Despite all that he had been through, he loves people with all his heart.  He is doing very well in his foster home and ready for a forever home.  Mint started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining.  Mint rides well in the car and can wait patiently while his foster mom runs errands.  Mint is a good boy and will make a lovely family dog.

Poor Mint and his sister, Meera, were found abandoned in a remote mountain.  A kind lady was in the area feeding some stray dogs and heard them crying out of starvation.  The lady quickly put out some food and they finish the food in a few seconds.  They must have been starving for some time.  The kind lady has a no kill shelter of over a hundred dogs.  She knows that she can’t keep on taking them back to her shelter.  She left more food and left the area.  The next day the kind lady she went back to check on them, poor Mint and Meera were still waiting in the small spot.  The kind lady went back and forth to leave food.  One day she decided that she couldn’t see them alone anymore.  She brought them back to her no kill shelter.  When there are adoption events, she would bring them.  However, no one was willing to give them a home.

The kind lady reached out to an experienced rescue organization hoping they can help with some of her dogs.  The founder of the rescue organization appreciates all the work she has done and wanted to show some support.  She schedules a day to visit her shelter and her dogs.  On that day, the founder of the rescue agreed to take Mimi, a husky dog.  She told the kind lady that they will help her when they have space.  On the way out, the kind lady showed her Mint & Meera.  They were kept in a cage together.  The founder knew it was urgent to save them as they are still young and will not do well growing up in the shelter.  She promised them loving homes where they will be treated with love and care.

The dogs adjusted well once they arrived at the founder’s home.  All her rescued dogs welcomed them to the pack.  They slept through the night peacefully in their cozy crates.  The next day, they were all playing and really enjoy each other’s company.  Mint is socialized with dogs of all sizes.  Both Mint & Meera are ready for a forever home.

Mint has been neutered, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on his blood tests.  Please give Mint a forever home where he can grow up safe and happy.
