Veronica is a gentle and sweet dog!  She is friendly with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes.  Veronica is even tested good with cats.  Veronica has a good temperament and has a lot of love to give.  She is doing very well in her foster home and ready for a forever home.  Veronica started some leash training and is learning at a good pace.  She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Veronica rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands.  Veronica is a good girl and will make a lovely family dog.

Veronica’s Rescue Story

Poor Veronica was found living as a stray dog living in a remote mountain.  She was freezing in the rain and had no shelter to hide.  Her rescuer/foster mom is the founder of an experienced rescue organization.  She was in the area with her team looking for a litter of abandoned puppies.  It took them a while to search for the exact location where the litter of puppies were reported.  Upon arriving in the mountain, they left some food hoping to lure the puppies out of the bushes.  They hid in the car and watched carefully.  They spotted Veronica roaming around looking for food.  Luckily, they were able to catch Veronica by a catching pool. After waiting for a while, they spotted another dog, Verona, coming out of the bushes and quickly ate all the food.  They quickly set up a humane trap and she went in right away.  A lady in the area also informed them that they saw a lean puppy down the road.  They quickly drove down and set up the trap again.  Soon, the little puppy, Venice, went into the trap.  The team was very lucky that day to have rescue all three of them as they are all females.  They were rushed to the vet for a complete health checkup.  Luckily, they are healthy and just underweight.  The founder of the organization has over 100 dogs waiting for homes.  However, she didn’t have the heart to turn her back on them.  She promised to find them good homes where they will be treated with love and care.

They adjusted the moment they arrived at the founder’s home.  They are enjoying the company of all the rescued dogs.  They started leash training and are socialized with big and small dogs.

Veronica has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests.
Please give Veronica a forever home where she will never have to starve again.
