Calyspo is a gentle girl.  Shs is so sweet yet shy at first.  She is a very submissive girl to both humans and dogs.  Calyspo is great with dogs of all sizes and good with cats.

Calypso is a sweet gentle girl.  Calypso has a good temperament.  Poor girl has been through a horrible life with her mean irresponsible owners.  She is very well-behaved and is submissive to both humans and dogs.  Calypso is shy at first and will quickly open up to her new family.  She is great with dogs of all sizes and tested good with cats.  Calypso is doing very well and ready for her own forever home.  Calypso started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining.  Calypso rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the doggie parks.  She is one wonderful girl patiently waiting for a loving home.

Calypso’s Rescue Story

Poor Calypso and her puppy, Cybele, were owned by irresponsible people who kept them in filthy environment.  The owners left Calypso on a heavy chain to guard their property and never gave her proper care and food.  The owners have several dogs chained on the property and never got any one of them spayed and neutered.  Poor Calypso gave birth to a litter of puppies.  They were found by a rescue group that specializes in TNR (Trap/Neuter/Release) programs to control the overpopulation of stray dogs.  The rescue group does not have the resources to save them.  However, they have to make sure there won’t be more unwanted puppies.  Therefore, they took Calypso and got her spayed. The TNR rescue contact another experienced rescue organization and checked if they can offer to take in a few dogs.  When the founder saw the environment that the owners kept the dogs, she was devasted and agreed to take in all their dogs.  However, after some negotiations, the owners only surrendered Calypso and one of her female puppy, Cybele, to the founder.  She was heartbroken and felt extremely sad for Calypso’s other pups and the rest of the dogs.  The rescue has over a hundred dogs waiting for homes but they knew they have to save them.  They were rushed to the vet for a complete health checkup.  Luckily, Calypso is a healthy girl and just underweight.  She has been treated for heartworms as she was never given any Heartgard and was chained outdoor.  Just like any other healthy dogs, she will need a tablet of Heartgard every month.  Calypso has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchip. We are looking for a committed family to love her and give her a new life.  A home that will never leave her behind.
