Denver is a good temperament pup!  He is good wtih people, gentle with children, and loves all dogs.

Denver is a sweet pup!  He is friendly with people, good with young children, good with dogs and cats.  Denver is just full of love!  He is a playful and active boy.  Denver and his siblings are doing very well and ready for their own forever homes.  Denver started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining.  Denver rides well in the car and enjoys both a quiet home or an active life.  He is one wonderful boy and will make a lovely family dog.

Denver’s Rescue Story

Poor Denver and his 4 siblings were born as stray puppies in a remote mountain area.  Their mama dog was very lean and didn’t have enough food to survive the cold winter season.  However, she took good care of her puppies and kept them warm in the bushes she had built for them.  A kind volunteer was in the area rescuing another mama dog and found them crying out of starvation.  The volunteer quickly rescued Denver and his siblings.  His car couldn’t fit their mom and so he left her and promised to return for her.  Unfortunately, it was pouring hard for the next few days and their mom was nowhere found.  Poor girl must be so sad to leave her puppies and still living a homeless life.  The puppies were rushed to the vet for a complete checkup.  Luckily, they are all healthy and just underweight.  The kind volunteer couldn’t keep them and contacted several rescue groups hoping to find them homes.  Several weeks went by and no one was willing to help them.  He was very discouraged and planned on getting them spayed and neutered when they are ready and head to put them back to the mountain to live as homeless dogs.

He posted their story on Facebook and luckily an experienced rescuer saw their photos and knew she had to save them before it’s too late.  The rescuer brought them back to her home full of rescued dogs and gave them the best care.  Denver and his siblings grew up to be such wonderful puppies.  They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, chipped, de-wormed, and passed negative on their blood tests.

We are looking for families that understands the responsibilities in raising puppies and have the time to properly socialize them to ensure they continue to grow up as happy and healthy dogs.  Before sending an application, please think twice if you have time to devote to raising a puppy and love them and be responsible for them forever.
