Hendrix is a happy boy.  He is friendly with people, playful with dogs, and good with young children.

Hendrix is a very friendly, sweet and playful boy!  He greets everyone he meets with his wagging tail and kisses.  Hendrix is a joy!  He loves any dogs he meets and is great with both big and small dogs.  Hendrix is currently living in a foster home with over 50 dogs and enjoys their company.  He is such a good dog and can be in a home as the only dog or multiple dogs.  Hendrix has been doing well since the day he was rescued and is ready for his own loving forever home.  Hendrix started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. He is crate-trained and doing well on his housetraining.  Hendrix rides well in the car and enjoys both a quiet home or an active life.  He is one wonderful boy and will make a lovely family dog.

Hendrix’s Rescue Story

Poor Hendrix was abandoned in a remote mountain all alone.  He gets excited and went up to every car that drove by.  Unfortunately, no one stopped to help him.  He was starving and getting weak.  A kind lady who often feed the stray dogs in the area left some food for him but couldn’t take him home.  She posted his story on Facebook hoping someone will give him a home.  She also called several rescue groups but no one was willing to help him because he is a black dog and black dogs are the hardest to adopt out.    The kind lady was getting discouraged and was desperate for help.  A few more weeks went by and poor Hendrix stayed in the same spot.  Luckily, the founder of an experienced rescue organization heard his story and quickly offered to take him in.  The rescue has over 100 dogs waiting for homes but they didn’t have the heart to turn Hendrix away.  Hendrix was rushed to the vet for a complete checkup.  Luckily, he is one healthy boy.  He has been neutered, vaccinated, chipped, de-wormed, and passed negative on his heartworm test.

Hendrix adjusted the moment he arrived at the founder’s home.  He is being well taken care of and patiently waiting for his forever home.  Please give Hendrix a chance to show you what a wonderful boy he is.
