Lima is a gentle and sweet girl.  She is good with people, loves other dogs, and good with cats.

Lima is happy, sweet, and gentle girl.  She is good with people, great with dogs, and gentle with young children.  Lima is doing very well and ready for her own forever home.  She is now in a foster home with over 50 rescued dogs enjoying the comfort of a safe and clean home.  All the doggies learn to share everything from affection to food to toys.  Lima started some basic obedience training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and house-trained.  Lima is one smart girl and will make a lovely family dog.

Lima’s Rescue Story

Poor Lima was found by a kind volunteer in her neighborhood.  Lima and her sister, Lindy, were new to the area and they appeared to be TNR dogs meaning they were once rescued, spayed, and released back to the streets to live as homeless dogs.  TNR program is a humane way to control the overpopulation of unwanted animals.  Some people around the neighborhood were nice to them and would leave some food for them.  However, some were not kind and wanted to see them gone.  One late night, the kind volunteer went to the area with Lima’s now foster mom.  They sat quietly with Lima and her sister trying to catch them.  Luckily after several attempts, they were able to pick up Lindy and slipped a leash over her.  She was so happy and ride happily on the way back to her foster home.  Unfortunately, Lima got spooked and ran away.  Lima’s now foster mom couldn’t sleep all night and was so worried of Lima’s safety.  She got up early in the morning and found a kind woman feeding Lima.  With her help, they were able to rescue Lima and quickly brought her home.  Lima’s foster mom is an experienced dog rescuer and found over a thousand dogs loving homes around the world.

Lima adjusted the moment she arrived at her home.  She is enjoying playing with all her rescued dogs.  She is so lovely and greets everyone with her wagging tail.  Lima walks well on the leash and enjoys her daily walk in the mountain area.

Lima had a complete health checkup.  Luckily, she is a healthy girl.  Lima is spayed, vaccinated, chipped and de-wormed.  Please give Lima a safe and happy home to grow up so that we can continue to save more dogs in desperate need.
